Hello All Team Members!
I hope this message finds all of you and your families safe and well,
At Burris, we treat our team members like family and we all know the pets we love are just like family too. Our pets are always there for us, in the good times and the bad so it’s important that we are there for them. We not only store good wholesome food at our sites for people to eat, but we also store food for our animal friends too. What may surprise many is that pet food has the same food safety standards as the foods intended for us. Sounds strange but let me explain.
Our animal family members deserve good safe food to eat, that’s true but there’s more to the story than that. When we feed our furry friends where is that bowl of food put? It’s usually put on the floor in most houses. What is also crawling around on floors in many homes? Curious babies who like to get into things and put whatever they find in their mouths…
All food safety procedures will be followed at Burris for all types of foods stored. No matter what we store, it will always be handled with the quality you can trust. Burris sees the big picture and we take food safety seriously. That means protecting all family members from the harmful effects of food poisoning and making sure we supply the safest food
possible at all times.
