34 Years of Service
For 34 years, Sidney Jefferson has faithfully served Burris Logistics as a Harrington driver. Dedication and work well done characterize his time here. In fact, he has won both the perfect attendance and safety driving awards multiple times.
Every year, Sid, along with Artie Bunting, participated in the Delaware Truck Convoy to raise funds for the Special Olympics, which, in turn, uses that money to invest in athletic events for the special needs community.
This past Friday, Sidney Jefferson retired from Burris Logistics. In order to commemorate him and all the work he has done, the Harrington Team threw him a surprise retirement party. Even his former coworkers showed up to celebrate with him! They told stories, laughed, and enjoyed cake together.
In fact, before Sid even arrived at the surprise party, he was given three retirement cakes from the stores on his truck route! He had so many cakes that he sent Brandee Sweeney, Harrington’s Security Guard, home with one.
Thank you, Sid, for your service to Burris Logistics! Your presence will be missed, but we hope retirement serves you well!
