From ‘Ahhh No’ to ‘Ahchoo!’
The flu season is rapidly approaching and it is important to start taking health precautions now. As the ‘18-19 flu season ends, the ‘19-20 one begins.
In order to prevent catching and spreading the flu, maintaining a high immune system and restraining the spread of germs is crucial to one’s health.
Maintaining a high immune system involves eating healthy, staying hydrated, and remaining active! A great way to remain active is by participating in the Hit Your Stride Wellness Challenge 2019! This way you can stay fit, prevent sickness, and win $25!
Also, restraining the spread of germs is crucial to workplace health. Simple precautions like regularly washing your hands, refraining from using other people’s equipment, coughing/sneezing into your elbow, and keeping constantly touched items clean (like door handles and tables) will help protect yourself and coworkers from sharing the virus.
At the end of October, the Center for Disease Control recommends taking the flu shot in preparation for that season’s coming illnesses. For more information on where/when to take the flu shot, please contact your location’s HR team.
