Gary Walstead’s 50 Year Anniversary
What a MILESTONE! Gary Walstead has been serving at Burris Logistics since July 8, 1971!
He first started out as a Warehouseman in Harrington, DE. In fact, he remembers the fire of 1979 that destroyed our Harrington warehouse during a blizzard. You can watch that story here!
He now serves as an IT (Information Technology) Business Analyst in the Milford office, acting as a liaison between the Warehouse and the IT department. The Business Analysts are IT’s “Boots on the Ground,” frequently visiting our warehouses to make sure that our systems and software tools are working efficiently.
Since he’s walked in the shoes of a warehouseman before, he adequately represents their interests and concerns to the IT team. He is a huge asset to Burris.
Congratulations, Gary! We’re so thankful for your commitment and sacrifice!
The Milford Home Office Team threw a big party and invited Gary’s lovely wife, Bonnie (married almost 50 years!!) along with lots of old friends. Thanks to all who took the time to come and wish Gary a happy 50th work anniversary. We had lots of laughs and lots of appreciation for all the years Gary has devoted to supporting the business.
