Jacksonville Human Resources: Dynamic Duo

HR Manager JD and HR Assistant Brenda have joined our Jacksonville, Florida Team and they have hit the ground running.
Brenda and JD are new to Burris Logistics but have have known one other for about a year and a half. They worked together at Starting Point.
Together, they are a terrifically low-key, coworker-oriented and very approachable. They both strive to bring a positive focus to every situation and believe strongly “open door” to HR.
JD enjoys being on the move, meeting and interacting with Team Members and he always has a Dad joke (or two) at the ready.
Brenda is warm, welcoming, and loves to have fun with the Team. She loves to take care of people and works to see potential problems and solve them proactively! Brenda loves the Team so far and is enjoying the learning phase of her role here.
In less than five weeks, JD is excited to have hired over twenty new Team Members.
In his spare time, JD plays a lot of tennis (3-4 times/week.) When asked, he admitted that he has played Pickle Ball once or twice too. He’s got a crazy white lab and an angry parrot. Look for the pictures in the Adorable Pet Gallery soon!
Brenda spends time with family and friends when not at work, especially her four month old granddaughter (her first!!!) She loves to watch football – her pro team is the Jaguars; college team is the Gators. We will be keeping an eye on the Good News Gallery for pics of her grandbaby!
Both Brenda and JD are massive Jeopardy fans so feel free to try and stump them with some tough trivia!
