Food Safety Focus | See Something, Say Something

Food Safety Focus

Hello All!

I hope this message finds all of you and your families safe and well.

This food safety focus will focus on Reporting What You See.

We hear it all the time, “If you see something, say something”, however the only way we can address any issue that exists in our warehouses, is if we talk about what we see around us.  It’s easy to let problems blur into the background and become part of the wallpaper, so to speak.

Whether it is product damages, rack damage, pallet of product not sitting safely in the rack, pallet of product in the wrong place, or even records not maintained properly, etc., the list goes on and on.  They all need to be reported or talked about before they can be corrected.  Once an issue is recognized as needing correction by leadership, through swift investigation, it should then be addressed as soon as possible, with updates for projects that may take longer than expected.  Reasons for not taking action should also be provided to team members, depending on what the situation is.  This will give confidence to the one who reported the issue and the whole team as well, to report what they see.

It takes us all working together, through good communication to ensure an excellent work environment and in turn provide better quality products for our families.

Thanks, for all that you do every Day!
